SYLLABUS

Maths

Over the two years the entire KS4 national curriculum will be covered, with particular emphasis on challenging topics such as trigonometry, quadratic equations, circle theorem etc.

All of our Maths tutors have experience in teaching Maths at GCSE level. We aim to equip your child with the numeracy skills required, helping them to achieve high marks in the exams and lay the foundation for future studies.

English Language

Over a period of two years, your child will be introduced to the various forms of reading and writing of the English language. The aim is to develop their ability to write clearly and coherently, and to foster a critical and analytical reading of various texts, thus allowing them to excel in their GCSE and to help them in their educational and professional lives thereafter.

Science

Over the two years, the Science curriculum (double award) will be covered. Our Science tutors – who bring broad educational and vocational experience of the sciences – will help build your child’s scientific acumen in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. This in turn will help your child perform at their best in their GSCE exams, and enhance their educational and professional prospects.

Arabic

This is a two-year course leading to a GCSE in Arabic. The focus is on Modern Standard Arabic, the official language used throughout the Middle East in all formal situations. By following the GCSE Arabic syllabus, your child will develop the ability to listen, speak, read and write in Arabic. This will set the foundation for students to pursue further education in Arabic.

Islamic Studies

Over a course of two years, your child will study many topics of Islam – ranging from Islamic history to Muslim intellectual thought and the themes of the Quran. This is a two-year course leading to an A-level in Islamic Studies. The course will not only develop your child’s understanding of Islam and its place in contemporary society, but also potentially allow them to attain an A-level in Islamic Studies.
